We love ICT
We love visiting Whaea Tania at ICT. We love visiting starfall and last week we had our first go on kidpix. We are learning how to navigate around websites and use our mouse pad. We use our pointing finger - just like we do when reading! Next week we are going to type our names.

Ranginui and Paptuanuku
Today we watched a clip on you tube. It was about the creation - Ranginui and Papatuanuku. Today the tamariki did a role play. The boys played Ranginui the sky father and the girls played Papatuanuku the earth mother. Rex was Tane Mahuta and pushed his parents apart.

Room 16 tamariki help a baby bird!
While we were on our number hunt, we found a baby bird that had fallen from it's nest. We could hear the mother bird calling for her baby. We got a long pole and carefully put the baby bird back into the tree. It's parents helped it back up the tree.
We're going on a number hunt!
Today we went for on a hunt for numbers - we had lots of fun. It helped all our new tamariki who are learning the difference between numbers and letters.
We are one, but we are many.
This week we made a beautiful big rainbow - we made it from our handprints. Our artwork is titled "We are one,but we are many" This year we will be looking at what Kotahitanga means to us in Room 16.
